Across the River Plate from Buenos Aires (capital of Argentina) is the small Spanish colonial town of Colonia in Uruguay. The old town is beautifully preserved and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Colonia is a very laid-back place compared with the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. Old cars are very common in Colonia; you see them everywhere.
