Henry HOLPEN 1826-1871 son of William and Myrem (nee Smith) Holpen of Gloucestershire arrived in Moreton Bay with wife Esther (nee Bryant) on board the Glentanner in July 1859. Daughter Alice (b1861) and son William were enrolled in Bulimba Creek school (now Hammant) In 1871 Henry was accidentally shot while ploughing field in today's Kianawah Road Esther Holpen died in 1876 and is buried in Hammant Cemetery Daughter Alice married Frederick Gibson in 1880 Son William married Elizabeth Stanton in 1883 their children were William 1884-1970 Florence (Kyte) 1885-1983 Elsie 1887-1889 Fanny (McShane) 1889-1965 Evelyn (Robinson) 1891-1966 Ruby (Hambelton) 1896-1948 Henry 1892- Edna (Taylor) 1900-1993 Copyright: Jan Phillips Tingalpa Christ Church (Anglican) cemetery, Brisbane
