Nyngan to Broken Hill (NSW), Wed 14 Nov 2007

Drove long day to Broken Hill. Cobar was very alive; Some lovely old buildings, magnificant church. There appears to be a pit from an (old) mine on the edge of town.

Wilcannia was horribly run-down. Also saw wild goats on the road.

In Broken Hill, went to Pro Hart art gallery: fantastic collection of own work, + Dobell, Picasso, Pissarro, School of Rembrandt, Brett Whitely, ...

White Rocks where 'Turks' took refuge after they attacked a picnic train going to Silverton in WW1.
