The Rosevale, Mt Walker & Coleville areas were transferred to Boonah Shire from Ipswich City in March 2000 when some of the rural areas of the Ipswich City Council were amalgamated with Boonah Shire. Until early 1990s that area was part of the former Moreton Shire that became part of the Ipswich City Council area when the shires of Ipswich and Moreton were amalgamated.
Boonah shire were unable to locate any list of cemeteries & burials for that area at time of transfer to Boonah Shire. Shire Archives volunteers have subsequently collated lists from research undertaken by Leisha Muir, discussions with church officials & inspection of tombstones. Some (if not all) of these lists are probably incomplete because in many cases original documents cannot be located.
